Which exhibition did you recently travel a long way to see?

Because I’m currently so busy with my own work, I wouldn’t travel far for any exhibition. I usually visit only those close to where I live. The last one I saw was the Ron Mueck exhibition in Milan.

Your favourite fashion brands?

YSL, Zadig & Voltaire, Replay jeans and Bally shoes.

Where do you like to be alone, both in Switzerland and here in Prague? Where do you go to clear your head?

In Ticino, the Monet Bar; and in Prague, anywhere near the Baroque architecture of Hradčany and Malá Strana.

What’s the last thing you bought for your own interior?

Two surely valueless antique lamps from a retiree in Como, and then some Renaissance armchairs from an elderly lady in Verona, which, of course, I don’t really need either.

Which colour are you most drawn to, and why?

Black.

Your guaranteed comfort food?

In Prague, pork knuckle at Klášterní šenk and Lab Kai Super Extra Thai Spicy at Modrý zub with Viktor T.

In Lugano, costine di maiale, fegato alla veneziana with puntarelle and chinoise, and finally bollito misto in Verona.

Do you collect anything passionately and over the long term?

Not deliberately, but I enjoy various antiques, especially anything connected with gastronomy. And then toys, models and oddities in general.

What last moved you to tears?

The happiness of my children at their graduation ball.

Which image has stayed most vividly in your mind lately?

Clouds wrapping around the mountains of Ticino, a very rare sight there, and the streets of Marrakesh covered with colourful awnings through which bright sunlight shines!
